Weather in Delhi will have above normal (15.3 degree) night temperatures in the coming days. Snowfall is expected to increase in Jammu & Kashmir this weekend. Snowfall, heavy at one or two places in the hills and light to moderate at isolated places in the plains including Srinagar is expected to continue from 22nd  to 24th of March. Rain is likely to continue in northeastern parts during the next 48 hours. Rain could also occur at one or two places in Kerala.

Night will be warmer by 2 to 3 degrees in Delhi in coming days as two back-to-back Western Disturbances will affect the weather in Delhi during the next few days. However, the day temperatures would keep increasing but will not have much affect in terms of warmth as winds will be cool after the exit of Western Disturbances.

A feeble Western Disturbance will affect the north and northwest region on 20th and 21st of March. There could be light to moderate snowfall in the hills of Jammu & Kashmir on these days but the weather will again intensify in the hills from 22nd or 23rd of March as they will experience a strong Western Disturbance. From Friday to Sunday there is strong possibility of heavy snowfall at one or two places in the hills while light to moderate snow could occur at isolated places in the plains including the capital Srinagar.

Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim in the east and the entire northeast India have chances of rain during the next two days. A north-south trough of low pressure area (a region of intensified moist winds) runs from north Bay of Bengal to Himalayan hills in the region.

In south India, Kerala could get rain at one or two places. Lakshadweep Islands in the Arabian Sea and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands in the Bay of Bengal will have showers to the tourist’s delight. A low pressure area persisting in southeast Arabian Sea is moving away westward.
