Warm weather to continue over Mumbai

The city of Mumbai has been slipping into a period where temperatures have been on a constant rise along with high humidity levels. This weather conditions usually keeps growing and sustains until the arrival of Monsoon.

The month of February usually gives enough signs of heat and this year has been o different. In fact, the maximum temperatures were even seeing reaching the 38 degrees Celsius due to the inland winds blowing over the region.

However, the last 24 hours have seen massive respite in terms of significant drop in temperatures. The maximum temperature in Mumbai settled at 31.6 degrees Celsius which is a notch below the normal levels. The minimum on the other hand was recorded at 20 degrees Celsius which is normal for Mumbai during this time.

Normally, the weather in March for the city of Mumbai sees large variations. While the maximum usually stays in the high 30s, they even reach the 40s on some occasions. If previous records are to be seen, Mumbai has seen the maximum in the high 20s in 2012 which was the lowest maximum in a decade. Meanwhile, the highest maximum settled at 41.3 degrees in March 2011.

Talking about minimums, they also start shifting towards the discomfort side for Mumbai, settling in the mid 20s. The highest minimum for Mumbai in a decade has been recorded at 25.9 degrees in 2015 while the lowest has been a mere 12.7 degrees Celsius which was recorded in 2012.

In terms of rains, Mumbai does not see any weather activity, which is why the monthly rains also stand at nil for March. In terms of relief from scorching weather, it is the sea breeze that comes to the rescue.

As per weathermen at Skymet Weather, Mumbai will continue see warm weather conditions, but maximums will settle in the low 30s for another 48 hours. Thereafter, there may be some increase in the maximums.
