With half of February gone, the weather and temperatures have shifted gears from cold wintery chill to pleasant sunny days in the National Capital of India. This may very well be the best time to visit Delhi, as Delhi doesn’t get any better than what it is now. And with summers just a week away, weather patterns are very much likely to change.
At present the maximum temperatures over the Delhi and NCR region are already 2°C above normal. And the minimum temperatures are near normal. In the next 48 hours, both minimum and maximum temperatures are expected to rise.
This rise could go up to 2-3°C in the next 2 days. The night weather, which is at present cold, will become cool and pleasant. But day temperatures will go up to be warm.
Such change in weather and temperatures can be attributed to no weather over the plains over India. Also a Western Disturbance is approaching the hills of Jammu and Kashmir. Whenever, a Western Disturbance approaches the region, temperatures over the Northwest India rises.
The effect of Western Disturbance will remain confined to hilly region of North India and weather will be dry over Northwest plains of India including Delhi and NCR.
