Mumbai weather in January remains warm and dry. So much so that the average rains for the city of dreams during this month is a mere 0.6 mm. Thus, this month, the city has not even witnessed a drop of rain.
As far as the temperatures are concerned, they have been fluctuating from above normal to below normal during the last two weeks. In fact, since January 17, there have been a couple of occasions wherein the maximum has even gone over the 35-degree mark.
However, in the last week, there has been a significant improvement in terms of maximums and the temperatures have been close to the normal levels barring January 27 when Mumbai recorded its maximum at 32.5 degrees Celsius.

Thereafter, due to the increased speed of northeasterly winds, there has been a drop in the maximum temperature. Yesterday, the maximum in Mumbai settled at 29.8°C, a degree below normal.
As far as the minimums are concerned, there has been quite a fall in the temperatures as well. On January 23, the minimum settled at 19°C and since then, temperatures have been dropping as well. Meanwhile, today the minimum temperature has fallen to 16°C, which is a notch below the normal levels.
Now, as per weathermen at Skymet Weather, sky conditions will continue to remain clear over the city of Mumbai and days will remain sunny and slightly warm. Maximum temperatures are expected to see a rising trend until February 1. Thereafter, a fall of 2-3 degrees is expected. Meanwhile, minimum temperatures will remain as they are until February 1 and increase thereafter.
