Contrary to the minimum temperatures, day maximums have been settling above the normal by 2 to 3 degrees over places of Maharashtra. So, we can say that the diurnal variation between day and night temperatures is quite high at this very moment over the state.
Diurnal variation is the difference between the minimum temperature and maximum temperature.
Skymet Weather expect cool nights to persist over the entire region of Maharashtra, however there would be marginal rise in the minimum temperatures in the coming days. In the wake of this, nights would also turn warmer.
All this while, days would remain sunny and warm until February 5 and 6. Thereafter, the weather of Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra and parts of Marathwada would become partly cloudy to cloudy, following some light rain activity over few parts of the region between February 7 and 9.
