With the effect of an anti-cyclonic circulation over south-west Uttar Pradesh and adjoining Madhya Pradesh, there has been a change in the trend of wind in Delhi along with a widespread increase in temperatures.

The maximum temperature in Delhi has strong possibilities of reaching the 30-degree Celsius mark. On Tuesday, the maximum temperature recorded in Delhi was at 28.4°C, which is 3 degrees higher than the normal. The Palam Observatory also recorded the daytime high at 28.3°C, which is 3 degrees above the normal.

According to this seasonal scenario, the maximum temperature may rise further today, and it can settle near 30°C. However, there is a possibility of a change in the wind direction from tomorrow, due to which the temperatures may witness a marginal fall. Although despite a fall in the temperatures, the sunny weather will prevail which will not let the temperatures fall beyond the normal.

On the other hand, the minimum temperature is being recorded below the normal. In Safdarjung this morning, the minimum temperature was 9.0°C, which is 1 degree below normal. During the similar time frame, the Palam Observatory recorded the minimum temperature at 11.7°C.

The diurnal variation between the minimum and maximum temperature in Delhi is about 20 degrees. Therefore, while Delhiites are witnessing cool morning and nights, the afternoons are warm. It is estimated that for the next 3-4 days, the minimum temperature will be around 9-10 degree which is close to normal.
