The Gateway to South India, Chennai recorded some really good spells of rain during the initial days of the past week; thereafter dry weather took over the city and adjacent areas.

The last 24 hours were also of not much difference and warm and humid weather was observed over the Tamil Nadu capital. Such weather conditions can be attributed to the seasonal pressure as well as wind pattern.
