Warm and hot weather to continue in Maharashtra, humidity at its peak

There has been absolutely no change in the weather of Maharashtra for approximately a month now.The weather across the state has remained almost dry and warm giving no relief to people anytime soon.

Dry winds from North East direction are blowing over the most parts of the state leading to warm weather conditions, particularly for coastal stations where humidity has resulted in extremely uncomfortable weather conditions.

Day maximums of the most places are above normal by 2-3°C making afternoons hot. However, minimums are marginally below normal making the morning and nights cool and pleasant.

In the coming days as well, dry winds from northeast will continue to blow over North Madhya Maharashtra and Vidarbha while southeasterly winds will affect Marathwada and South Madhya Maharashtra.

Thus, we do not expect any weather activity over the state for at least next 2-3 days. Thereafter, a feeble trough will form over Konkan and Goa which might give scattered light rains over South Konkan and South Madhya Maharashtra around October 18.

Light rains might give some sort of relief over Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Sangli, Satara and Kolhapur but that will be for brief period.
On the other hand, the weather in North Madhya Maharashtra will continue to be very warm. Also, Mumbai will experience warm and sultry for at least next 3-4 days.

No possibilities of relief in sight could be seen for northern and central Parts of the state.
