The month of March is generally a comfortable month for Delhi as it is then when winters are just on the verge of bidding adieu and summers are all set to step in. The maximums during this time of the year usually remain around 30 degrees Celsius with minimums mostly settling in mid-teens. Delhi also accounts for a fair amount of rainfall during this month.

The month of February remained parched for the capital of the country and its adjoining Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurugram, and Faridabad. In fact, it seems that March is also following similar footprints with no rainfall being recorded. However, around March 4 an active Western Disturbance induced a cyclonic circulation over North Rajasthan and adjoining Haryana.
Due to these weather systems, isolated thunderstorm was observed over Delhi-NCR. This led to a drop in the day and night temperatures by 3 - 4 degrees.
Currently, the Western Disturbance has moved away eastwards, and the induced cyclonic circulation has also faded away.
Cool and dry winds from north west directions are blowing over Delhi-NCR. due to which night and morning have become cool and pleasant. Now we expect day temperatures to increase gradually during next 2 - 3 days, which will further lead to warmer days. However, minimums will rise marginally, therefore cool nights will continue for at least next 2 - 3 days.
Weather is expected to remain dry and warm during the coming days. But despite bright sunshine and clear sky cool winds will not allow the heat to set in anytime soon.
