As per Skymet Weather, a cyclonic circulation can be seen over northwest Bay of Bengal and a trough is seen extending via Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Odisha. On account of these weather systems, light scattered rains are likely to continue over Telangana though coastal Andhra Pradesh may just witness few moderate spells for the next 48 hours.
Thereafter, the intensity of these rains is expected to increase particularly over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Between July 17 and July 20, moderate rains at many places with a few heavy spells at one or two places can be anticipated. Thus, the district such as Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Hyderabad, and Khammam may see rains between July 18 and July 20 with the possibility of a few heavy showers as well.
Skymet Weather reiterates that these rains will be due to the westward movement of the cyclonic circulation from the Bay of Bengal to Telangana.
