The city of Kolkata has been enjoying the Durga Puja festivities for the past few days and the weather has been kind enough.
However, a Cyclonic Storm has formed in the Bay of Bengal. It is away from the coast but will be keeping the coastline to its left in close proximity. The system is headed for Bangladesh thus, no danger is likely for the Indian coast.
Thus, under the influence of the system, parts of Gangetic West Bengal including Kolkata may see rain and thundershowers which will be widespread in nature.
Rains will commence this evening itself. These showers will continue today and also be seen tomorrow. Thus, Vijay Dashmi celebrations may be affected in Kolkata due to the rains seen in view of Cyclone Hamoon.
