The state of Maharashtra has remained dry for quite some time now. Not only this, both the day and night temperatures are currently running slightly above the normal levels. The sub-divisions of Vidarbha as well as Marathwada have also been witnessing similar weather conditions. Now, rains are likely to make an appearance over the Vidarbha region.
During the next 24 to 48 hours, light rainfall over scattered places is expected to occur over the Vidarbha region. Not only this, isolated pockets of the Marathwada region may also witness a few spells of rainfall. However, the intensity of rains over these areas will remain on the lower side. Not only this, the possibility of heavy to very heavy showers are ruled out over the region.
These upcoming rainfall activities over both these areas will be attributed to the presence of a cyclonic circulation which is marked over the Vidarbha subdivision of Maharashtra as well as adjoining areas.
As per weathermen at Skymet Weather, these rainfall activities are expected to last for only the next two days. Thereafter, the weather is expected to clear up and rains will take a backseat. Dry weather will take over thereafter.
