The eastern states of the country, Bihar and Jharkhand, both have been experiencing dry and warm weather since the beginning of October. Although some pockets of Bihar did receive patchy rains in isolated pockets during the first week, but they were of no help in giving relief from warm weather.

Now, the highlight is Very Severe Cyclone Titli that has formed over west central Bay of Bengal. This storm is likely to move closer to the East Coast and make landfall near Odisha coast by early morning hours of Thursday.

Odisha and West Bengal will be the worst affected states and would experience heavy rains. However, the peripherals of the system would also impact the weather over Bihar and Jharkhand as well.

The cloud cover has already increased over these two states. Therefore, we can expect light rains to commence by Wednesday evening in parts of East Jharkhand and Bihar. Eventually, many parts of Bihar and Jharkhand will witness light rains with one or two moderate spells by Thursday.

Both the neighbouring states would continue these rain activities till October 11. Due to cloud cover and scattered rains, we might experience a dip in maximums and there will be a relief from the prolonged dry spell for 2-3 days.

As per Skymet Weather, by October 12, the Cyclone would start loosing its strength and it will then start heading in northeast direction towards Tripura and Mizoram. Therefore, rain intensity will fall significantly, resulting in clear sky.

By October 13, inhabitants of Bihar and Jharkhand will once again experience dry and warm weather with a marginal increase in day temperatures.
