Very SevereCyclonic Storm Bulbulis all set to make a landfall over the Indo Bangladesh border, close to Sagar Island and Khepupara, Bangladesh as a Severe Cyclonic Storm. The storm will pack winds between 110 and 120 kmph, gusting up to 150 kmph.
In fact, Bulbul is all set to make landfall tonight resulting in more rains for the state of West Bengal. In fact, many parts of West Bengal have already been witnessing some showers and more will be seen with relief likely only after 12 hours.
Very strong winds will not only be a threat to Kutcha structures but even Paddy Crops are expected to bear the brunt.Cyclone will damage matured paddy crop, mainly in South 24 Parganas and Purba Medinipur in West Bengal. In the Bardhhaman region, Paddy crop is close to the maturity stage, thus even some amount of rain and strong winds can have an impact on Paddy.
Severe damage due to heavy rains, strong winds are expected in South 24 Parganas and Purba Medinipur, and less effect will be seen in Howrah, North 24 Parganas, Bardhhaman and Pashchim Medinipur.
