Delhi and the NCR region have bene observing fog free mornings for quite some time now. Today was a similar day with only the airport recording a low visibility of 300 metres. However, there are several cities in Uttar Pradesh which have been observing foggy mornings.
The capital city, Lucknow recorded very low visibility once again at a mere 50 metres. Similar conditions were observed at the capital city of Bihar, Patna which also witnessed 50 metres visibility. Today, it was Varanasi that joined the fog club with the city recording 50 metres visibility as well.
It was a better day for Amritsar as the visibility was observed at 500 metres with shallow fog. Gaya on the other hand observed even better conditions with the visibility being at a good 900 metres.
As far as Northeast India is concerned, dense fog was far away and the visibility at Agartala was at 500 metres. In an unusual turn of events, Kozhikode in Kerala observed shallow fog with the visibility being observed at 500 metres only.
Now, foggy mornings are expected to make a comeback over many parts including Delhi and the NCR region during the next 24 hours. These conditions will occur as the wind pattern is changing from westerly to easterly.
