Hyderabad has been witnessing light rains since early morning hours of Wednesday. These ongoing rains can be attributed to Cyclone Vardah, which is now seen as alow pressure area over Coastal Karnataka and Southeast Arabian Sea.
According to Skymet Weather, remnants of the system are still lingering over the capital city of Telangana. In wake of this, weather conditions are favourable for the rain activity over Hyderabad. However, intensity of rain has been light in nature.
At present also, the city is witnessing light rains and thundershowers. We expect these rains to continue till evening, reducing thereafter.
With the system likely to weaken further and moving away from the Indian coast, we expect rains to reduce significantly over Telangana including Hyderabad. The city will witness mainly dry weather on Thursday but one odd spell of rain cannot be ruled out.
Besides this, day temperatures that had dropped substantially will also start rising, while night temperature will drop.
