Varanasi, Lucknow continue to witness very dense fogSome pockets of North India continue to witness foggy mornings. In fact, several areas have been witnessing moderate to dense fog for the past few days. Quite a few cities in Uttar Pradesh in particular has been recording fog.

Many parts of the national capital remained fog free today as well. Shallow fog was reported at the Palam airport with the visibility dropping to a good 800 metres. Otherwise, most of the areas remained fog free in Delhi and the NCR region.

Dense fog continued to grip Varanasi with the visibility dropping to nil. Similar conditions were also reported in Lucknow with very dense fog over the city at a visibility of a mere 50 metres. Gorakhpur observed slightly better conditions with moderate fog over the city and the visibility being recorded at 400 metres.

The city of Golden Temple, Amritsar observed better weather conditions in terms of fog. In fact, only shallow fog was recorded here with the visibility dropping to 550 metres.

Moving towards East India, Gaya reported very dense fog as the visibility here dropped to 50 metres as well. On the other hand, parts of Northeast India continues to witness dense to very dense fog. The visibility in Agartala was reported to be at a mere 50 metres for the second consecutive day.

The capital city of Karnataka, Bengaluru continued to report reduced visibility conditions today as well at 500 metres.

Due to foggy conditions, at least 119 trains have been delayed across the country. Delhi has reported at 15 flight delays including both arrivals and departures.
