At present, the axis of Monsoon trough is running from South of Uttar Pradesh via Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Jharkhand. But now this axis of Monsoon trough is shifting towards North over Uttar Pradesh.
We expect moderate showers to commence over many parts of Uttar Pradesh particularly Varanasi, Jhansi, Kanpur, and Allahabad. Gradually, the intensity of rain will increase and most parts of East Uttar Pradesh will start receiving good rains. While one or two places may receive heavy showers also, intensity will be more over East Uttar Pradesh in comparison to West Uttar Pradesh.
In the coming days, the rain statistics of the state will improve. At present, East Uttar Pradesh is rain deficient by 1 and West Uttar Pradesh is witnessing a rain deficit of 8 percent. We expect light to moderate rains to continue over many parts of the state till July 24. By that time, it is expected that both the parts of the state will become rain surplus.
