February is taken as a month of change and fluctuating weather conditions for the national capital Delhi. It all started on a cold note for Delhi with mercury close to 5°C on 01st February and rapidly climbing to 12.4°C on 04th February on account of rain and clouds. After a drop, the minimum temperature in Delhi has risen again to be in double-digit on 10th February morning. The day temperature in Delhi has gone beyond the average to stay past 25°C marks for 3 successive days between 08th February and 10th February.

Delhiites can expect a pleasant week ahead with a fair amount of sunshine during the day and cool conditions in the night. Fog and mist will remain a feature on most days in the late night and early morning restricting visibility conditions in Delhi. A thin layer of clouds over Delhi is quite likely on 12th February and quickly clearing on the next day. Speedy winds will make a comeback over Delhi around the weekend on 13th and 14th February.

Western disturbance has just gone past the hilly states and as usual leaving relatively cold air in the wake. Accordingly, marginal fall in the mercury level is expected and the minimum temperature at a few locations in Delhi like Safdarjung and Lodhi Road Meteorological Office may drop to about 7°C on the weekend. Twist in these weather conditions over Delhi is likely not before the 3rd week of February. It is a little early to speculate rain for Delhi NCR but the scope is building up to have it around 20thFeb or later.
