The Monsoon trough so far has been lying south of its normal position and very little rainfall activity has been seen over the plains as well as the hills of North India. The state of Uttarakhand has also not seen any intense activity.
However, now we can expect a Circulation coming up with the Western Disturbance. Monsoon trough is also likely to shift northward anytime tomorrow onward. The wind flow will also witness a change wherein easterly winds will become a little southerly winds.
The state of Uttarakhand in view of these weather features is expected to see some intense rain and thundershowers on both July 9 and 10. Heavy showers may be seen in some parts. The possibility of landslides and cloudbursts also cannot be ruled out during this period.
