Uttar Pradesh has been experiencing dry weather for the past 24 hours. However, the weather models are indicating some developments due to which the state might experience good rain and thundershowers yet again.
According to Skymet Weather, the first rainy spell of March is going to commence in the western parts of Uttar Pradesh around March 5. Initially, the weather activities would cover western and northwestern parts and later would spread up to a large area. These rains are likely to continue until March 7 with the intensity likely to increase gradually. Some intense weather activities are also expected during this span.
There are also chances of hailstorm activities in one or two pockets. Lightning strikes at a few places cannot be ruled out.
These rains would be a result of a fresh Western Disturbance over the Western Himalayas which will induce a Cyclonic Circulation over the northern plains. Moreover, a Trough is expected to extend up to the eastern parts of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar leading to rain.
Amidst rains, the day temperature may drop, however, the night temperature might see an increase.
By March 8, as the weather systems would become insignificant, the rainfall activities would start vacating the region.
