Under the influence of the Cyclonic Circulation over Southwest and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal, a low pressure area is expected to form over Southwest Bay of Bengal anytime now. The system will then move in a westward direction towards South Tamil Nadu.
This system is all set to give rains over many parts of South India in the coming five days. Moreover, these rains are expected to begin over southern regions of Tamil Nadu, then spreading up to parts of North Tamil Nadu resulting in heavy to very heavy rains over these areas. In fact, the city of Chennai is expected to see heavy showers during this period.
Rainfall activity is also expected to be seen over Coastal Andhra Pradesh including the cities of Nellore, Ongole, Kavali, Bapatla, reaching up to Machilipatnam. Heavy to very heavy rains are expected to be seen over these parts.
Not only this, around November 27, as the system moves westward, rainfall activity is expected to spread into the interior parts as well including South Interior Karnataka and Kerala. However, these showers are expected to be not as heavy and no deluge is expected in the interiors.
