The city of Mumbai has seen it all this year with rains making an appearance in the month of November itself. Seems like the heaviest rains on record during Southwest Monsoon was not enough that the city saw rains even during the Post Monsoon season which is a rare sight in itself.
To surprise us all, Mumbai rains are all set to make an appearance during the evening hours today and probably even during the morning hours. While residents do not need to fret much as rainfall activities will remain light in intensity only.
TheseMumbai rainswill occur on account of a well marked low pressure area which is over Southeast Arabian Sea. The system is expected to intensify into a depression in the next few hours.
As the system moves northward, it is likely to be abeam Karnataka and Goa coast but will not move close to the coast. Moreover, the system will maintain a safe distance from the coast. However, moist winds will be blowing over the region resulting in some very light rains over Mumbai.
Mumbaikars will not face any trouble while commuting as the rains will only be very light in nature and may not even lash the entire city, but occur in just patches. Temperatures, however, may see a slight drop due to these rains.
