A low pressure area over central Madhya Pradesh will move towards the north east direction and affect north east Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. This system is expected to bring widespread rain and thundershowers over east and central Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Light to moderate rain and thundershowers at many places are likely over Bhind, Gwalior and Morena districts of Madhya Pradesh. Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh will also get rain at a few places. North eastern states will also receive good showers at many places and witness fall in day temperatures. Delhi may observe partly cloudy skies with light rain at one or two places in the next 24 hours. Rajasthan will go dry except south east Rajasthan which might get rain at a few places. According to Mahesh Palawat, Head of the Meteorological team at Skymet Weather, temperatures of north west India will rise marginally during the next 24 to 48 hours. Temperatures are above normal by few notches over many parts of western Himalayan region, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh and near normal over rest parts of the country. South peninsula will also remain mostly dry with scanty rainfall, raising day temperatures marginally during next 24 to 48 hours.
