In a turn of events, the state of Gujarat after seeing low minimums last week is all set to see some rains making an appearance over the state. These rainfall activities will be seen over many parts of the state.
Rain in Gujarat will begin over Saurashtra and North Gujarat on January 21, being light in nature. Cities including Jamnagar, Okha, Dwarka, Deesa, Patan, Basankantha, Idar, Mehsana, Porbandar, Surendarangar will be seeing rains tomorrow.
Rainfall belt will thereafter shift over South Gujarat and Central Gujarat by January 22, resulting in rains over those areas. Therefore, cities of Gandhinagar, Anand, Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat, Valsad will be seeing rainfall activities. These rainfall activities will be light in nature.
After the rain ceases, we can expect the minimum temperatures to witness a drop which are currently in their mid teens over Ahmedabad, Vadodara and Gandhinagar may fall by 5-6 degrees, settling to single digit in some places of North Gujarat and settling in early teens in central parts, even going down to 10-11 degrees.
These drop in temperatures will persist for 4-5 days, at least around Republic Day.
