Unseasonal rains lash parts of Jharkhand, MP, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Odisha

States of Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, eastern regions of Madhya Pradesh and Odisha do not see enough rains during the winter season. Rainfall activities remain far and few for these parts of the country as weather systems do not reach these regions.

However, a strong Western Disturbance and its induced Cyclonic Circulation’s effect has been felt over many parts of East as well as Central India resulting in some moderate rainfall over many regions.

During the last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Tuesday, Rajnandgaon recorded 53 mm of rains, Mana 50 mm, Malanjkhand 48 mm, Bramhapuri 41 mm, Akola 38 mm, Buldhana 23 mm, Pendra Road 26 mm, Jamshedpur 35 mm, Daltonganj 27 mm, Rewa 25 mm, and Umaria at 30 mm along with Keonjhargarh 10 mm, and Sambalpur 10 mm.

Talking about the weather forecast, rainfall activity may be seen over some parts of East and Central India today, however, these activities will be light in nature. Thereafter, by tomorrow, weather is expected to clear up.
