Unseasonal rains all set to pay a visit to Gujarat

Gujarat is one state which does not experience rains after the withdrawal of Southwest Monsoon. This is the least weather sensitive region.

The northern systems do not reach Gujarat. Even the systems which form around Peninsular India are at a safe distance from any rainfall.

There are some rare occasions when the region does receive rainfall, when a system forms in the Arabian Sea close to Gujarat. Similarly, at present well marked low pressure area over Arabian Sea at present, which is having its reach along the coast of Konkan, North Gujarat and may have an effect over other parts of Gujarat.

Southern parts of Gujarat will be seeing good rains with cities including Valsad, Surat, Navsari, going up to Bharuch and even going up to Bhavnagar. Rainfall activity is expected to be seen over parts of Central Gujarat including Ahmedabad, Anand, Vadodara, Gandhinagar etc. These showers are expected over the state between November 19 and 20.

Areas that are closer to the Maharashtra and MP region will be seeing rains, meanwhile the farther parts of Gujarat including Naliya, Bhuj, Jamnagar, Porbandar, Dwarka will not see rains.
