Mumbai rains after the Monsoon season ends, take a backseat until the arrival of the pre monsoon season during the months of May. The city only receives rain on account of a freak weather incident a system forms in the Arabian Sea and results in rainfall.
Last weekend, Mumbai rains did make an appearance with some rainfall activity occurring over the city during the late evening hours. Moreover, some parts of Mumbai saw moderate showers during that period.
Now, the cyclonic circulation which was over Comorin area has now moved to southeast Arabian Sea. From this particular system, a trough is extending up to East Central Arabian Sea off the Karnataka coast. Not only this, pressure area is all set to form over East Central Arabian Sea off Maharashtra cost around December 1st.
Due to these weather features, Mumbai is all set to see some unseasonal light to moderate rains starting tomorrow. Thus, Mumbai rains are expected to make an appearance between November 30 and December 2.
The most amount of rainfall activity will be seen on December 1. These rainfall activities are not expected to be heavy enough to cause trouble of any sort but rains will be seen in many parts of the city.
