The reason for these rains as per Skymet Weather can be attributed to the low-pressure area which was over the Kutch region. Moreover, the axis of Monsoon trough is passing through Jaisalmer, Guna, and the center of Low Pressure, Pendra, Jharsuguda, and east center of Bay of Bengal.

However, now the low-pressure area is expected to move towards South and West Rajasthan. In the wake of this, heavy to very heavy rains are anticipated to show up continue over parts of the state for the next 2-3 days. Though the intensity of rains will be moderate today, rains are likely increasing from July 22 onwards, continuing until July 24.

Thus, heavy rains are likely over districts such as Udaipur, Kota, Barmer, Nagaur, Jaisalmer, and Jodhpur. Jaipur and Alwar may also see scattered rains.
