On account of the absence of rains, both the state of Gujarat and Rajasthan have been witnessing dry weather conditions from last many days. Though some rains have appeared over the coastal districts of Gujarat, as far as interior Gujarat is concerned, the weather has remained dry.
Due to persistent dry weather, the mercury levels also scaled up and settled close to 35°C. In the last 24 hours from 08:30 am on Friday, Ahmedabad witnessed 4 mm of rains, Sawai Madhopur, Kandla, Porbandar, and Veraval recorded 3 mm of rains each. While districts like Jaipur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Chittorgarh remained dry.

As per Skymet Weather, a cyclonic circulation is over South Rajasthan and adjoining Pakistan in the lower levels. Moreover, no significant weather system is foreseen over Gujarat and Rajasthan and hence dry condition is expected to continue. However, light rains at a few places in the districts of South Coastal Gujarat can be anticipated. On account of this, a rise in temperature is likely over the area.

Mainly humid condition is expected to persist in Saurashtra and Kutch region along with the southern parts of Rajasthan. Though, moderate breezy conditions are anticipated to prevail. However, due to localized development of thunderclouds, light rains may be a chance over the southeast and northeast Rajasthan.
Hence, districts like Udaipur, Bhilwara, Bharatpur, Dausa, Alwar, Porbandar, Valsad, and Mahuva can brace for some light rains for the next 24 hours.
