Chennai witnessed light rain to the tune of 13 mm. However, other places such as Parangipettai witnessed 106 mm of rain, Karaikal 57 mm, Cuddalore 42 mm and Puducherry 102 mm in last 24 hours.
Now it is anticipated that short spells of intense showers will continue for the next 24 hours over coastal stations of Tamil Nadu including Chennai. Thereafter, the rain intensity will reduce over the state.
