A well-mark low-pressure area is over the North Bay of Bengal and the cyclonic circulation is over South Gujarat. Due to these Meteorological parameters, monsoon current is active to vigorous over Konkan and Goa and adjoining West Coast. Mumbai may receive moderate to heavy showers until tonight. Thereafter, the intensity will decrease, and the rain belt will shift over Gujarat.
Intense rain activities will continue all along the West Coast for the next 2-3 days, from Gujarat to Kerala across Konkan and Goa and coastal Karnataka.
Mumbai rains are expected to reduce by tomorrow. Another spell of heavy rains may reappear over Mumbai and suburbs around August 11. Skymet is keeping a keen watch over the weather parameters and will keep updating.
