Goa has been recording incessant rain and thundershowers for the last few days and last 24 hours were no exception.
Heavy to extremely rains continued to lash almost all parts of the state. Only few places have been left out and they too have recorded moderate showers at least.
Following table shows you the rainfall figures recorded in span of 24 hours from 8:30 am on Wednesday.
Further, we expect these rain and thundershowers to continue for the next few days as well. According to Skymet Weather, a fresh Monsoon system is brewing in Bay of Bengal which will activate the off shore trough along the West Coast, leading to increase in rains.
This system will also be responsible for the further advancement of the Monsoon. So far, the Southwest Monsoon has reached till Karwar and weather models are indicating towards the conducive weather conditions for its progress into Konkan & Goa region soon.
