Southwest Monsoon remained vigorous over Coastal Karnataka and Goa, giving torrential rainfall over both the regions during the last 24 hours. Several places have recorded three-digit Monsoon rains during the period. While, rest of the places have recorded moderate to heavy showers.
Let us have a look at the rainfall figures recorded across Coastal Karnataka and Goa in span of 24 hours from 8:30 am on Tuesday.
Moreover, similar weather conditions will continue over both the states during the next few days as well. According to Skymet Weather, Monsoon current will remain vigorous on account of two fresh Monsoon system coming in Arabian Sea as well as Bay of Bengal.
A cyclonic circulation is likely to form in central Arabian Sea off the Coastal Karnataka and Goa coast, while another cyclonic circulation is seen developing in west-central Bay of Bengal. Both the systems are likely to enhance each other and strengthen the Monsoon current over Peninsular India.
With this, the vigorous Monsoon conditions will also extend over parts of Konkan region including Mumbai.
