According to the latest weather update by Skymet Meteorology Division in India, heat wave worsened in Rajasthan on Tuesday with day temperatures rising to 46.8°C, the highest in the country as well as the highest in a decade in the desert town . Other places in Rajasthan like Churu, Ganganagar, Bikaner and places as far as Kota and Jaipur in east Rajasthan were also in the grip of heat wave like conditions.

The weather forecast by Skymet Meteorology Division indicates that maximum temperature in Barmer will drop a little on Wednesday but will sustain in rest of the state. Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh may also witness some relief as maximum temperatures may fall on Wednesday.
