According to the latest weather update by Skymet Meteorology Division in India, heat wave conditions abated in Gangetic West Bengal on Thursday. Day temperatures rose significantly in Andhra Pradesh as five places from the state are featuring in the list with coastal city Machilipatnam recording 44°C. Titlagarh and Sambalpur in Odisha and Bankura in West Bengal continue to be part of the list.

But heat could further intensify over Andhra Pradesh and in Odisha in this period.
