1. Baroda in Gujarat recorded rain in February for the first time since 2003. Baroda recorded 1.2 mm of rain from 8:30 am on Monday till 8:30 am on Tuesday. Historical data available with Skymet Meteorology Division in India also confirms that Baroda's total mean rainfall is zero for the month of February.
2. Jalgaon in Maharashtra recorded 27.6 mm of rain from 8:30 am on Monday till 8:30 am on Tuesday. This is the highest rain recorded in Jalgaon since 2002. In 2002, 60.6 mm of rain was recorded on 11th of February. The total mean rain for the month of February in Jalgaon is 5.8 mm.
3. Nashik in Maharashtra recorded rain from 8:30 am on Monday till 8:30 am on Tuesday. This is the second consecutive year after 2013 that the place has recorded rain during the month of February. Nasik had recorded 37.3 mm of rain on 12th of February, last year. In the last decade before 2013 the city hadn't recorded any rain in the month of February.
4. Tiruchirapalli in Tamil Nadu recorded 13 mm of rain in the last 24 hours. This is the second highest rainfall recorded in Tiruchirapalli in last ten years after 23.3 mm observed on 10th February, 2008. The highest rainfall ever recorded is 137.9 mm , on 17th February, 1891.
5. Puducherry recorded 20 mm of rain in the last 24 hours. This is the third highest rainfall recorded in Puducherry during the month of February in last ten years.
