1. Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh observed the third coldest February morning in last ten years on Wednesday with a minimum of 4°C. Before this the minimum temperature in Kanpur had dropped to 2°C and 2.2°C in February 2008 and 2012 respectively.
2. Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh recorded a minimum of 5.6°C on Wednesday which is the second lowest minimum temperature recorded in the month of February in last five years. The lowest minimum temperature in Lucknow was recorded on 9th February 2012.
3. Angul witnessed the coldest morning on Wednesday since 2006 February with a minimum temperature of 9°C, nine notches below normal. Puri in the state also witnessed its second coldest February night on Tuesday. The minimum recorded in the coastal city was 16.1°C.
4. Titlagarh in Odisha witnessed the second coldest February morning on Wednesday at 7°C, the lowest ever recorded minimum temperature after 7.5°C on Tuesday. Similarly, Sambalpur in the state also recorded the second coldest February morning at 8.3°C on Tuesday, in last ten years.
5. Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh recorded the third coldest February morning on Wednesday since 2005 at 7.7°C. The coldest morning minimum in Jabalpur was recorded at 4.4°C on 2nd February, 2008.
