1. Guna in Madhya Pradesh records second highest rainfall in a span of 24 hours in last ten years during the month of February. The city recorded 20.4 mm of rain from 8:30 am on Thursday till 8:30 am on Friday.

2. Satna and Pachmarhi in east Madhya Pradesh also recorded 47.9 and 16 mm rain respectively but due to lack of historical data, records for the highest rainfall in a span of 24 hours in the month of February could not be ascertained.

3. Jamshedpur in Jharkhand recorded 35 mm of rain which is the highest in last ten years in the month of February on a single day. The highest ever rain of 54.6 mm in Jamshedpur had occurred on 8th February, 1967.

4. Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand recorded 33.8 mm of rain yesterday which is the second highest in the month of February on a single day after 40.4 mm on 8th February, 2005. Daltongunj in Jharkhand also recorded second highest rainfall in last ten years. From 8:30 am on Thursday till 8:30 am on Friday the city recorded 21.1 mm of rain. The highest ever rainfall recorded at the place in a span of 24 hours in the month of February was 57 mm, on 12th February, 2007.

5. Rain also broke records in Raipur and Ambikapur in Chhattisgarh. Raipur recorded 36.3 mm of rain from Thursday to Friday which is highest for last 10 years. The record for highest rain ever in February on a single day in Raipur is 57.4 mm, on 4th February, 1917.  In Ambikapur, 36.5 mm of rain was recorded in the last 24 hours which is the second highest in last 10 years after 41.2 mm received on 17th February, 2013.
