Heat wave conditions have made an appearance over many parts of the country. Many areas have been seeing maximums well above the 40 degree mark.
During the last 24 hours, Bundi in Rajasthan was the hottest place in the plains of the country, where the maximum temperature has been recorded at 45.2°C. Many other cities including Hamirpur, Khajuraho, Patna, Shantiniketan and Sambalpur recorded their maximum at 43.2 degrees Celsius.
