Weather conditions have remained hot over the Northern Plains of India for the last few days. So much so, many parts have been witnessing heatwave conditions. Maximums have been settling above the 40-degree mark in many cities.
Lucknow, in particular, has been experiencing heatwave conditions for few days with temperature settling above normal temperature over 40°C. Hot weather conditions have been prevailing resulting in heatwave conditions over the city.

However, weather conditions will witness a change due to the likelihood of rainfall and thunderstorm activity over the city.
A Western Disturbance is moving across North Pakistan and adjoining areas and its induced cyclonic circulation persisting over Pakistan and adjoining areas of Punjab.
A trough is also extending from this system up to Odisha across Northern Plains.
Due to this, clouding will increase over Lucknow and adjoining areas, gradually. Short and sharp spells of dust storms and thunderstorms with rain are expected in Lucknow and adjoining areas from late afternoon.
With this, heatwave will take a backseat from the capital city of Uttar Pradesh. A slight drop in the maximums is expected due to the aforementioned weather conditions.
However, afternoons will remain warm and humid. Meanwhile, evenings will remain pleasant.
