Thunderstorm likely over Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi, Chennai to remain dry

Kerala which is said to be God's own country recorded on and off light showers in the month of February. As per weathermen at Skymet Weather, rains and thunderstorm activity is likely to make a comeback in some parts of the state.

Thunderstorm activity is possible over the extreme south coastal stations of Kerala. Places such as Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi, and Kollam are likely to witness weather activity during the next 24 hours. However, the ost of districts in the state would experience hot and uneasy weather in spite of few spell.

The weather activity would be attributed to a trough which is extending along the West Coast from coastal Maharashtra to Kerala. The maximum temperatures will range between 32°C and 36°C and the minimums between 22°C and 24°C in Kerala.

Meanwhile, most parts of Tamil Nadu are experiencing warm and humid weather conditions. Rains have not shown up since many days. It is expected that light northeasterly and easterly winds will prevail over the state.

Therefore, weather during the afternoon hours will be warm and humid. Meanwhile, weather in the morning and evening will be pleasant. As per weathermen, rain is not in the forecast for Tamil Nadu including Chennai for the next few days.
