Delhi and the NCR region have witnessed good rains after quite some time. So much so that Safdarjung observatory recorded 9 mm of rain in 6 hours. During the same time span, Palam observatory recorded 3 mm of rain.
Other areas of Delhi and the NCR region including Noida and Gurugram also received good rains. These rain and thundershowers have resulted in comfortable weather conditions over the city. Now, during the next few hours, more such weather activity is expected.

Delhi rains made an appearance on June 16. However, rain gods turned their backs on Delhi-NCR and no weather activity was witnessed over the city. Temperatures continued to soar as weather conditions remained dry.
Now, thundershowers have begun over several parts of Delhi and the NCR region including Nehru Place, Connaught Place, Moti Bagh, Noida, Gurugram, and Faridabad. These weather conditions can be attributed to a trough which is in close proximity of Delhi.
Due to these rains, temperatures witnessed a drop of 9 degrees within just an hour. Now, as the convective clouds are expected to persist over Delhi and the NCR region, temperatures will not rise beyond 33 degrees today.
Weather conditions are expected to remain pleasant throughout the day. Conditions are favourable for one or two spells of thundershowers tomorrow as well. Relief is short lived and will only last for a day or two.
Temperatures will once again witness a rise after 24 hours. In fact, hot and sultry weather conditions will take over. However, the possibility of thundershowers cannot be ruled out until Monsoon makes an onset over Delhi. This year, Monsoon is expected to make a timely onset over Delhi on June 29 with an error margin of 2 days.
