As predicted by Skymet Meteorology Division in India, Delhiites finally heaved a sigh of relief yesterday after battling the scorching sun and excruciating heat in the gone-by week.
Delhi rapidly progressed into the thick of the summer with maximum temperatures escalating to 42.8°C on Thursday, four degrees above normal and this year's highest so far.
A couple of short spells of dust storms and strong winds blowing at around 50 kmph was observed in Delhi/NCR, bringing down maximum temperature to 41.7°C. Dust storms and thundershowers are expected in Delhi for the next 48 hours. A partly cloudy weather in Delhi will not allow the maximum to go beyond 37°C.
According to the latest weather update, a drop of two to three degrees is expected in the day temperature in Delhi for the next two days. Meanwhile, night temperature surged further and recorded 26.4°C, and is expected to remain in mid-twenties for the next two days.

Due to dust suspensions in the air, minimum could not drop and tomorrow as well the minimum is expected to show only marginal drop.
