Bangalore has been reeling under extremely hot weather conditions. Temperatures have been on a constant rise wreaking havoc over the residents of the silicon city. While it seemed like rain gods were a little too miffed with Bangalore, things have taken a fortunate turn.
After witnessing the highest maximum ever, thundershowers in some parts of Bangalore have provided temporal relief from the scorching conditions. As reiterated by Skymet, thunderstorm activity will continue to affect Bangalore during the next few days as the trough is oscillating around Bangalore.
With light thundershowers lashing the city, social media portals were flooded with images and videos of rain in hot and parched Bangalore.

These Pre-Monsoon showers have a short life span ranging from 30 minutes to an hour and a half. While it may seem like the wrath of nature has finally come to an end, these thundershowers will only bring in relief for a short duration.
Whenever a thundershower activity occurs during the afternoon, temperatures drop by 3 to 4 degrees, and the minimums of that particular night witnesses a drop. The maximum also witnesses a marginal drop.
However, the temperatures will only witness a significant drop in Bangalore when Pre-Monsoon showers lash Bangalore for a longer duration. For now, April will continue to remain hot and occasional localized thunderstorm activity may occur over isolated pockets of the city.
Come May and conditions will improve significantly. The first week of May is likely to witness some rains with both maximums and minimums witnessing a drop. For now, maximums will continue to range between 37 and 39 degrees.
