The strongest Typhoon of 2020, Goni heading towards Philippine

Typhoon Goni is the most powerful typhoon in the world for the year 2020, and is about to make landfall into Catanduanes Island by the morning of November 1st with wind speeds of up to 205 Kmph (127 miles per hour) before crossing the main island of Luzon.

Joint typhoon warning centre has categorized is it as a super typhoon. On the evening of October 31st. It has sustained winds of to 215 kmph, and gusts up to 265 kmph.

The typhoon Goni is travelling close on the Heels of Typhoon Molave which claimed 22 casualties. From early Sunday, Goni will give heavy to intense rains over the central and southern provinces of Luzon island, including Manila. Coconut, rice and corn plantation may suffer severe damage.

About a million people in the Philippines have already been evacuated from their homes, as the administration fear destructive winds and flooding as well as landslides. On an average 20 cyclones passes through the Philippines every year. But typhoon Goni is the strongest typhoon in recent years.
