The state of Gujarat has seen intermittent spells of rain, which has been unseasonal as the state does not see rain during this period. Now, temperatures have started to see a rise.
Maximums have started to reach 40 degrees due to the absence of weather activities. Ahmedabad crossed 41 degrees. The state capital Gandhinagar has also seen the mercury crossing 40 degrees Celsius now.
Temperatures will remain on the higher side now. However, there are no heat wave conditions likely for the next few days. The normal temperature for Gujarat is around 40-41 degrees during this period and for the heat wave to occur, temperatures need to be 4-5 degrees above normal levels. Maximums which were running below normal levels have started to come back to normal.
