Vidarbha witnessed a further drop in the maximum temperatures that led to the abatement of heatwave conditions over all the districts of Vidarbha.

Now we expect temperatures to start rising once again over Vidarbha. Isolated pockets may reel under heatwave conditions once again.
In the past day, many districts of Madhya Maharashtra, Konkan and Goa and isolated pockets of Marathwada observed pre-Monsoon light rains. In fact, Mumbai and Pune also witnessed its first spell of pre-Monsoon showers. Though the intensity of showers would be very light over these regions.
In the last 24 hours, from 08:30 am on Wednesday, Sholapur recorded 0.8 mm of rains, Satara 0.8 mm. In the same time span, Mumbai and Pune witnessed some traces of rains.
Now we expect the southern districts of Madhya Maharashtra and Konkan and Goa to continue witnessing scattered rainfall activities. However, the intensity of these spells would be very light. The sky would become partly cloudy to cloudy at different intervals of time leading to a marginal relief from the temperatures.
The intensity of these rains would pick up the pace around May 28 or 29 over most parts of Marathwada, South Madhya Maharashtra and Konkan including over Mumbai.
