Temperatures to rise in Indore, Bhopal, Gwalior and Raipur

Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh have been witnessing comfortable weather during the day and cold weather during the night. As per Skymet Weather, an anti-cyclone was persisting over Southeast Rajasthan. However, due to the approaching active Western Disturbance, the anti-cyclone has shifted to Odisha coast in the lower levels. The air mass has also changed from northerly to southeasterly and southerly.

Hence, both the day and night temperatures are likely to increase over central parts of the country. Madhya Pradesh would witness a significant rise in maximums and minimums. The temperatures would increase by 3° to 4°C in Madhya Pradesh.

The night temperatures would hover around 7°C to 11°C in North and East Madhya Pradesh and the day temperature will settle around 29°-32°. Meanwhile, the day temperatures in the western and southern parts would vary around 31°C to 32°C and the night temperatures will hover around 10°C to 15°C day.

Chhattisgarh may also observe a marginal rise in both day and night temperatures around 2°C to 3°C. The day temperatures in Chhattisgarh would settle around 25°C to 26°C and minimums would be around 10°C to 15°C. While the temperatures in central and southern parts are likely to range between 30°C to 32°C but the night temperatures would range between 10° to 15°C.

The weather will continue to remain dry, comfortable with sunny sky conditions during the day over both the states. However, the northwestern parts of Madhya Pradesh would experience strong winds due to the induced cyclonic circulation over Northwest Rajasthan. Places such as Indore, Bhopal, Jabalpur, Gwalior, and Raipur are likely to experience increased temperatures for the next two days.
