Most parts of Northwest India has been reeling under the dry and warm weather for a long time now. Temperatures are settling several notches above normal in the most parts of Gujarat and Rajasthan. Now also, not much relief is on cards for Northwest India in the next few days.
In fact, in the last 24 hours, both the maximum and minimum temperatures have settled 4°C to 7°C above normal in Gujarat. Because of the rising mercury, days in the state have become hot and uneasy and nights are also becoming warmer.
As per Skymet Weather, a cyclonic circulation has been persisting over Gujarat. Therefore, the medium and high clouds can be seen over the region during the next 24-48 hours. However, the possibility of these clouds pouring some rain is ruled out as of now.
Mercury is also likely to remain above normal which is likely to continue until February 18. Thereafter, a gradual fall of 3 to 4 degrees in the temperatures is expected between February 19 and February 20.
Despite the fact that the temperatures will plunge but they will still remain above normal. Nights will be comparatively comfortable but warm weather will prevail. Sky will be clear with bright sunshine showing up in Gujarat.
